The 20th edition of the Master’s Degree in Drug Design & Synthesis is a European programme aimed at training researchers and specialised technicians in the field of drug discovery and biotechnology for pharmaceutical companies.

Requirements: A Master’s degree in 6/S, 9/S, 14/S or 62/S or a degree obtained according to the regulations prior to Ministerial Decree 509/99 in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology.

The registration fee is set at 3,000.00 Euros, payable in two instalments of 1,500.00 Euros each. The first instalment is due at the time of registration and the second instalment must be paid by 15 June 2025.

Lectures and Courses

The course has a total duration of 18 months for a total of 60 CFUs of which 25 CFUs are related to lecture courses and didactic laboratory activities, and 25 CFUs are related to the performance of a 6-month internship at one of the affiliated facilities on a topic consistent with the training modules into which the Master’s degree is divided, and 10 CFUs are attributed by the final Master’s degree examination.

Teaching activities (lectures and laboratories) will begin in January 2023 and end by July 2024 at the premises of the Department of Biotechnology Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Siena. The internship activity may be carried out in a different period agreed with the company, in the period between February 2024 and January 2025. The hourly commitment related to the 25 CFU of teaching activity is calculated with a ratio of 1 CFU = 25 hours of activity (frontal lecture or laboratory).
